According to a study published in the journal Chemical Senses, vegetarians may smell better than meat eaters when it comes to attraction. In the study, men ate either red meat or no meat for two weeks, and then women were asked to sniff cotton pads that had been in the men’s armpits for the last 24 hours, and rate them on a scale of 1 to 7 based on pleasantness and attractiveness. The results showed that the non-meat diet resulted in higher overall ratings, suggesting that the same person was rated more attractive when they hadn’t been eating meat. However, the study did not include pescetarians.
