We all know the song Hallelujah by various artists, but did you know that the original artist, Leonard Cohen, wrote the lyrics after going through many iterations? It turns out that Leonard Cohen was a low-key math buff, and one of the earlier versions was about a particular math pattern. To show us what it would have sounded like, Matt Parker presented us with a wonderful rendition. Imagine if, when watching Shrek, you had heard the original version:

When your faith is strong you still need proof But on the left is two of the fourth And 816 right it’s just very nice Um and you know before they go on with this particular pattern Take a prime and write it in phase Four five years then they’re broken Thank you that’s it I’m just guitaring

Thank you, Matt Parker, for a wonderful performance!
