Welcome to everyone joining us today! I’m thrilled to have a rock star panel of teachers from across the country here to share their wisdom and expertise with you. We had over 2,000 registrations just from the US alone!

To kick things off, let’s get to know each other a bit better. Our panel includes Emily Norden from the Khan World School, Brennan and Malia from the Con Lab School, Tim the director of secondary curriculum from School City of Hobart in Indiana, and Madeline the English department head.

Before we dive into the Q&A, let’s take a little poll and tell us about yourselves. Where do you sit in the broader ecosystem of education in 2020-2030? A whopping 80% of participants identified themselves as teachers, with 8% being administrators and principals. A plurality of participants were from high school, followed by middle school, elementary school, and higher education/adult education/early childhood. In terms of primary subject area, many participants serve all areas, but the majority were in math, science, English/language arts, social studies, and other areas.

We then discussed how AI can be used to design lesson plans. Emily, who had raised her hand, shared that Conmigo has a feature that allows users to input a topic they are teaching about, and it will generate a lesson plan that includes a warm-up activity, guided practice, and an exit ticket. When tested, it worked very well.
