Sometimes we feel like we don’t have the power to make a meaningful contribution to addressing issues like woke capitalism or white supremacy. For example, 18 year old Michael may not feel like he can do anything to reduce poverty around the world, but he can buy a Motorola phone. Similarly, he may not feel like he can do anything to dismantle white supremacy, but he can buy a Nike shirt because they made a Black Lives Matter commercial. To be clear, I’m not criticizing anyone for buying the phone or the shirt.
