Starbucks workers have been voting to form unions around the country in order to organize their labor and collectively bargain as a collective, rather than as individuals. This is in opposition to neoliberal capital, which encourages us to be individuals and not form collective strength and power. Howard Schultz, the billionaire who runs Starbucks, has been fighting against the unions, and Senator Bernie Sanders has expressed his dissatisfaction with Schultz and has asked him to come to his house to be publicly reprimanded.
