20 years before the Apple Watch as we know it today, there was the very first Apple Watch released in May of 1995. To encourage people to buy Macintosh System 7.5, Apple offered a free gift: customers could choose either a copy of Conflict Catcher 3, or an Apple Watch. The original strap that came with the watch broke down after only a few days of wear, so the owner replaced it with a strap from one of their grandfather’s old watches. The design of the watch is phenomenal, reminiscent of the Silverstein and Memphis Group. The second hand is particularly interesting, as it has been pointed out to resemble a hockey puck mouse - a possible foreshadowing of the Apple Watch.
