Sometimes, we may find ourselves struggling to sleep due to psychological reasons. This is likely because throughout the day, we have been actively avoiding certain thoughts. In the quieter hours of the night, our deep minds are trying to get us to confront these thoughts and gain psychological insight. To regain sleep, we need to be more gentle and imaginative with ourselves, and ask ourselves the uncomfortable questions that we have been avoiding.
